Michele Bachmann

Michele Bachmann has recently caught my attention. She is hoping to represent the Republican party in the next Presidential Election. So who is Michele Bachmann? Well she is a House Representative from Minnesota. She also has five children, and 23 (yes, twenty-three) foster children. She is very conservative and like most conservatives she is a jackass. Here are some interesting things she has said:

  • “Not all cultures are equal.” (…)
  • “And what a bizarre time we’re in, when a judge will say to little children that you can’t say the pledge of allegiance, but you must learn that homosexuality is normal and you should try it.” (no judge ever said children should try homosexuality)
  • “I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970’s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat President Jimmy Carter. And I am not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it is an interesting coincidence.” (swine flu broke out in 1976, under a Republican President)

The more I learn about politics, the more I hate it. These people are beyond stupid. How do these words even come out of your mouth? These days Republicans seem to be much more likely to say something completely asinine and try to pass it off as fact. I am not saying that Democrats never say crazy things, but with Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann on the Republican side they clearly have the edge. It is amazing that these people are picked to lead our country despite the fact that they are some of the most illogical people around. Bachmann, Palin, and Gingrich make the Republican party as a whole look stupid. Even if they all are not stupid, they are stupid by association. Below is a clip from Anderson Cooper 360°.

I notice that your two examples of politicians who say crazy things are women. Coincidence?

    • I mention Gingrich, but I see where you are going with this. I am not sexist by any means, and the fact that most liberals do not support these two women makes conservatives play the sexist card. It is just like how liberals call all conservatives racist when they do not support Obama. I picked Palin and Bachmann as the main two people who say crazy things because they do it so frequently.
